Our vision is to establish a nonprofit community facility dedicated to addressing food insecurity while creating meaningful opportunities for children, families, and individuals in communities that are often underserved. We believe that access to nutritious food, positive mentorship, education, and safe recreational opportunities should not depend on a person’s income or circumstances.

The facility will serve as a central hub where individuals and families experiencing food insecurity can access nutritious meals, groceries, community resources, and connections to organizations that can provide additional assistance. At the same time, we want to create a safe and inspiring environment for children and young people—giving them productive ways to spend their free time through cooking and culinary programs, tutoring, arts, recreation, mentorship, life-skills training, and career-development opportunities.

Our goal is to bring community partners, volunteers, educators, chefs, local businesses, and organizations together to build a network of support that addresses the needs of the whole community. By providing both immediate assistance and opportunities for personal growth, we hope to help families become stronger, help young people discover their talents and purpose, and create pathways toward a healthier and more successful future.

This project is about more than finding a building. It is about creating a place where people can find food when they are hungry, guidance when they need direction, opportunity when they need a chance, and a community that believes in them. Through compassion, education, and collective action, we can create a lasting resource that helps communities not only survive, but thrive.

What started as a passion for cooking has grown into a dream of creating something much bigger—a food institution built around great food, opportunity, community, and giving back.

I am working toward obtaining a food truck that will serve as the first major step toward making this dream a reality. The truck will allow me to bring my culinary vision directly to communities, families, local events, and neighborhoods while creating opportunities to introduce people to flavorful food inspired by different cultures and traditions.

But this dream is about more than selling meals. It is about using food as a way to bring people together. It is about creating opportunities, supporting communities experiencing food insecurity, inspiring young people to discover the possibilities within culinary arts, and eventually building a larger food institution where people can learn, work, create, and grow.

No one should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. JEFE NEGRITO Catering & Cuisine is committed to bringing people together through the power of food while making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Our community outreach project is designed to provide hot, nutritious meals, compassion, dignity, and hope to those who need it most. With the support of community members, local businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and donors, we want to take our food directly into the community and create opportunities for people to receive a warm meal without judgment or barriers.
